The profound truth in Psalm 23, “You prepare a table before me,” speaks to something beyond the divine provision of out daily needs. It reveals God’s intentional preparation of your place in this world – your unique calling, your specific arena of impact, your seat at the table of purpose.
Think about it: God doesn’t randomly assign callings. When He places a dream in your heart to build a business, pioneer research, create a design, develop technology, or shape young minds, He’s already prepared your place at that table. That persistent pull toward a particular field or industry is more than just a casual interest or passion – it’s a divine invitation to take your seat.
Remember the Syrophoenician woman who came before Jesus? She faced a wall of “no” – cultural barriers, social pushback, and even initial rejection. But she knew what she came for and wouldn’t back down. Like her, you’ve got to push past those voices saying you don’t belong, those stereotypes trying to box you in. Your calling is bigger than their barriers.
Stop questioning whether you belong at the table of your calling. God Himself has prepared it for you. Your presence there isn’t optional – it’s essential. The world needs what only you, operating in your divine calling, can bring. It’s time to take your seat and serve with excellence.
The table is set. Your chair is empty. When will you sit down?
See you on Monday!
